Off Day : )

Today is my first off day of my work week haha. I thought id take this day to clean and catch up on things before i have to work 4 days in a row and have a baby shower to go right after work on saturday so im going to be pooped! I really think i am going to enjoy working at garden ridge so far everyone i have met is really friendly and really helpful. Now all i have to do is get my GED stuff rolling and im good to go until i get my GED then its off to college!

On another note id like to update everyone on crystal. Not much has changed really we wont know anything until Friday about what else is going on. Luckily my god father had two family members who went through this and a blogger friend of mine had her mother go through it and we have all been talking and its really helping this situation a lot. I really wish i had more to update with but unfortunately at this time i don't. I'll try to post on Saturday what news we got Friday and let everyone know. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support it really means a lot to me and my family.

I applied a couple of weeks ago at garden ridge and they called me in for an interview a few days later and they were running my background check and said they would get back to me. I was sooooo nervous i didn't get the job because it has been a couple weeks since i heard from them and today i got a phone call and they said they were finishing up the last steps of my application and about 3 hours later i got a call back with a job offer!! I start tomorrow at 12:30 and i cant wait! Its going to be so good to be back to work again i can't wait!

Praying For Crystal.

The news is in. Crystal has Hodgkins disease/cancer. They don't know what stage she is in yet but we do know it hasn't spread through her body. I'm not totally sure what to think yet this is a big shock to the family. I feel so bad for my mom because she has been so stressed out about it. Her day pretty much consists of crying/being extremely angry etc. She didn't sleep much last night and it breaks my heart to see her like this. I myself, well im not exactly sure how to react. Sometimes i fear the worse but most of the time im keeping a positive attitude or forcing myself not to think about it. I know not thinking about it isn't good but i guess its a normal reaction. I can say i haven't cried or lost any sleep YET. Should i feel bad about this? I'm not sure what to feel right now. So far all we know is they are doing A BUNCH more test on her and starting her chemotherapy in about a week. I really wish i had more to offer on the situation but at this time i don't. The hardest part about this all is she's in Tennessee and were here in Georgia and its about a three hour drive from here to where she is. Im hoping we can go visit her soon it would really be nice to see her. I'm trying to be strong through all of this i just dont know how much longer i can hold up before i completely lose it.

Babies Babies Everywhere!

Last year carried on into this year with all the babies coming into this world! There are so many blogs now with pregnant women, women trying to conceive, women with children its crazy but wonderful at the same time. Its almost making me get baby fever haha. So far i have three upcoming baby showers to attend, one being next weekend on the 17th for a long time friend of mine. I haven't seen her in so long! I'm thinking what im going to start doing for baby showers is making a personalized gift basket for each mom to be depending on how well it goes over next weekend. So far i have fount a couple of ADORABLE things on Etsy that i have ordered for it and i figured i would just put some miscellaneous stuff in there such as pacifiers, bottles, bibs etc. just kinda mix and match stuff. Two things i know will be staple items in them if i do start to do them are from here and they are ADORABLE! i know my blogger friend Jessica will love them! They are cupcake wash clothes and candy blankets :)

Of course these are made for a little girl but she can do some for boys and even unisex. these are so adorable and really add a unique touch to a staple item for every mom to be because every new mom needs wash clothes and blankets right? The best part is each cupcake is only $4 each and it comes with two wash clothes and the blankets are only $6 each. She also has other stuff such as wash cloth bouquets, washcloth corsages etc. Ill update when i have my first basket done and post a picture of it. I'm really hoping it turns out super cute that and with Easter over maybe i can score a good deal on a cute basket for it all wish me luck!

Easter Recap!

Im going to start out this post by saying that Easter is one of my favorite holidays since i only have three. Its the start of spring (which means we get to break out the flip flops and cute sandals) and it is also a time filled with bright colors and families coming together to spend time with each other. This year was a bit different then my ordinary routine with my parents, Early Morning Service at church and then down to south Georgia with family. Well this year we decided that we would go to Alabama for Easter with Ryan's family and it was alot of fun. I had never heard of this before but it was a game that they played called Raw Egg Toss. It was alot of fun to watch but i didn't get to involved in it because knowing my luck i would try to catch it and it would break and ruin my new dress i bought just for the occasion but my husband on the other hand he has had plenty of time to master it. He did so well catching it with one hand and he only busted one out of all the eggs they had. He dropped a few but they didn't break. The best part about easter this year is the weather was great! It was sunny and warm and the kids were able to egg hunt outside unlike last year when it rained and got all nasty outside.

Now id like to move on to my next topic which is big for me because i would call it my BIG fashion step. Im normally the type of person who just goes casual and doesn't break out of the line very much when it comes to fashion but when i was shopping for an easter outfit i couldn't help myself with this and it turned out to be a big hit and i got so many compliments and people asking where i got my dress.

I got my dress and leggings from here. Papaya Clothing is one of my all time favorite stores, they have low prices so you find cute pieces to mix and match without breaking the bank and they have an online store that they just got up in running if you dont have a store near you! I bought this dress for only $15 and paid $5 for my leggings i wore under it because of how short it was with a pair of ballet flats i already had so $20 later i had my easter outfit!

They also had it in dark blue but i was to crazy about it. But with leggings and flats it turned out to be a huge hit for only $15! I'm going to have to start shopping there more often! I hope everyone else had a great and safe Easter! Id love to hear what all you guys did : )
